2010 HOAP Summer Camp for the Children of Petit-Goave

In August, 2009, HOAP launched its third annual short-term summer camp
for the children of Petit-Goave.
Over 150 children attended this event. From 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., the campers enjoyed sports, arts and crafts,
games, performing arts, guest speakers, and delicious meals.

I can't wait wait until next year!" Leslie, age 11.
The organization is currently working on raising funds for the "2010 SUMMER CAMP".
The goal of this five-day event is to provide 150 youngsters with a productive
and fun summer program. We would greatly appreciate
your support, and invite you to sponsor a child to help us meet our goal. You may sponsor
as many children as you wish. You may also contribute by donating camp supplies.

SPONSOR A CHILD: Total cost for the entire week per child: $26.50 (Please make checks payable to HOAP)

DONATE SUPPLIES: Toothpastes, soap bars, sneakers, soccer balls, cleats, basketballs, volleyballs, tennis balls & racquets, art supplies, and Creole/English dictionaries.
Included in the five-day program:- for ages 6-12
- from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- two meals per day
- staffed by local teachers and volunteers
- HOAP members on site
- arts and crafts
- sports
- mini English language course
- presentations about hygene by a local healthcare providers
- all necessary supplies
