"Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." -Margaret Mead

The Haitian Organization for the Advancement of Petit-Goave,

HOAP, was founded in June of 2002 by a small but dedicated

group of volunteers who are natives of Petit-Goave. HOAP is

a tax-exempt, non-profit organization with 501 (c)(3) status,

and provides aid to Petit-Goave, a small town located south-west of the nation's capital.

Petit-Goave was a thriving community, rich with culture, and       full  of academic opportunities. Due to political and economic hardships in the country, the town and its inhabitants lack basic necessities such as food, clothing, sanitation, medical care, and education.

HOAP’s projects are funded by its members, their friends, and the generosity of many other donors.
